Sep 5    Bloomingdale ONE Group Meeting
The Bloomingdale ONE Leads Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month with a July and December break.  It is composed of one member per business category.  It is the best way to quickly integrate into the Chamber.  All members help new initiates meet other members of the Chamber at all events.  AND we share business leads!  For more information on membership and open categories email John Rossini at john.rossini@edwardjones.com or call him at 630-372-2926.

Community Day is an opportunity for you learn about how Goodwill makes an impact in our local community. You'll experience this through our behind-the-scenes tour where you'll see the lifecycle of a donation, from the collection of the item at the donation doors, to becoming a product on the salesfloor, to its final sale, and finally, how the sale of those donations support Goodwill's mission.

Sep 15    50 Men Who Cook and Divas Who Dish ~ September 15, 2018

Join us Saturday, September 15, from 6-8 p.m., for the 10th Annual 50 Men Who Cook and Divas Who Dish, A Taste of Bloomingdale. This food fest and fundraiser will be held at Stratford Square Mall.  

The casual evening features 50 prominent men and women from the greater Bloomingdale community--both amateur and professional chefs--who prepare tastings of their favorite recipes for event attendees to sample and judge.  

It is a multi-course culinary competition with everything from appetizers to desserts. No one leaves hungry! The event includes musical entertainment and an amazing raffle full of prizes from local businesses.
 
A portion of the proceeds benefit area schools.

Tickets bought online by 3 p.m. Friday, September 14, will be available at will call. 
Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.

Join BAWIB, a little earlier this year, to celebrate Women's National Health & Fitness Day on Friday, September 21 from 5-7:00 p.m.

Fit4Mom will be providing a pilates/yoga based 30 minute Barre class in their studio at Stratford Square Mall.  See below for a description of the class.  All attendees will need to sign a waiver which will be emailed to you after you register for the event.  The post workout will include a well deserved drink & dinner at Red Robin; on the outdoor patio weather permitting.

If you can't make the workout, please join us for dinner!

Stroller Barre® class which is a strength interval class designed to improve posture, stability, and mobility. The workout combines moves inspired by barre, ballet, Pilates and yoga to help you regain your posture and alignment and strengthen your body from the inside out! The class is lead by a certified Fit4Mom instructor and is appropriate for women of all ages and stages of motherhood - from pregnancy to empty nest. Please bring water, a yoga mat, and wear workout attire (yoga pants, gym shoes, exercise shirt/short sleeves). No stroller required for this class.

The last Wednesday of EVERY Month, in association with the Village of Bloomingdale, SCORE will be offering FREE Mentoring to small area businesses and to those who would like to start their own business!


SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentoring. For the past 50 years, SCORE has been assisting business owners through their network of volunteer mentors, free business tools and templates, workshops and business counseling. SCORE mentors will be available for one-on-one business counseling here at the Chamber office.
