2017 Holiday Promotions
in conjunction with the Holiday Tree Lighting and Festival of Lights in Old Town
Old Town Ice Sculptures
Promote your business with an ice sculpture placed on display in Old Town Bloomingdale starting Friday, Dec. 1. Sculptures may be selected from a list of holiday options or for an additional fee, may be carved specifically for your type of business (i.e. tooth for a dental office, fork for a restaurant, etc.). The Chamber will create a map highlighting the locations of and sponsoring businesses for each sculpture. This map will be available through the Chamber office, included in the gift bag (see below), and posted online. Advertising will also be placed in the Daily Herald. Sculptures will remain on display as weather permits.
Cost: $250 (starting); $295 (with gift bag insert-see below)
Additional fees may apply depending upon design requests and for non-members.
Holiday Gift Bags
The Chamber will distribute 300 reusable shopping totes this holiday season. Member businesses are invited to provide an insert for these bags?a flyer announcing a special holiday promotion, a seasonal coupon, or even a giveaway item. Participants shall provide 300 pieces of the insert by Nov. 15. The Chamber will stuff the bags and distribute them to attendees of the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1.
Cost: $60 (members); $45 purchasers of ice sculptures and premier partners (platinum, gold, silver)
Chamber Open House
Bloomingdale Chamber members and friends are invited to stop by the Chamber office at 104 S. Bloomingdale Rd. on Friday, Dec. 1, from 4-6 p.m. for light refreshments prior to the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Cost: None?this is a small gift to you in appreciation for your ongoing support

Join Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights & Roselle for a Multi-Chamber Progressive Luncheon on Wednesday October 11, at the Medinah Shrine Center.
BRING Flyers, Menus, Brochures, or giveaways - we will have the brown bags set up for you to stuff before the luncheon. Please allow some extra time for this.

What is a Progressive Luncheon?
The main idea of a Progressive Luncheon is to rotate tables for each course of your meal in order to meet three tables of business professionals face-to-face to maximize the networking opportunity.
When you arrive, you will be given a name tag and three numbers. These numbers represent the three different tables at which you will 'dine.' At each table, there will be a moderator with questions who will direct the flow of the introductions and conversation.
At your first table, you'll hear directions for the day and have your first course. After a period of time, there will be an announcement to report to your second table, as indicated on your name tag, where entrees will be served. After that, there will be another announcement encouraging you to move to your third and final table for dessert.
Bring plenty of business cards!

The Second Wednesday of EVERY Month, in association with the Village of Bloomingdale, SCORE will be offering FREE Mentoring to small area businesses and to those who would like to start their own business!
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentoring. For the past 50 years, SCORE has been assisting business owners through their network of volunteer mentors, free business tools and templates, workshops and business counseling. SCORE mentors will be available for one-on-one business counseling here at the Chamber office.
