The Best of Bloomingdale 2018 is a signature event designed to recognize outstanding members of the business community.
This event reaches beyond the chamber and into the community, requesting nominations and incorporating a voting component to augment judging in the selection process. The Best of Bloomingdale culminates with an award dinner to recognize the winners. Recognition of nominees and award recipients will continue throughout the year. This premier event will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Bloomingdale Golf Club from 5:30-8:30pm.

This award is named for prominent local business woman Georgene Geils (1928-2011), who was a forerunner in the movement of professional women, known for mentoring through her involvement in the community and within her own business. To honor her memory the Bloomingdale Area Women in Business and Bloomingdale Chamber annually recognize a woman who:
Strives to empower, embrace and equip women with the knowledge and resources to achieve their personal goals and reach their professional potential.
Demonstrates excellence, imagination, and initiative in their business or profession.
Contributes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
